How to claim
Softeners rarely fail all at once. They drift: scale creeps back, salt stops being used, pressure drops a little. Caught early, most of these are inexpensive repairs rather than replacements.

Scale returning on glassware and kettles; a brine tank that stays full for months; a hard salt crust bridging the tank; dropping water pressure through the house; or water that suddenly tastes salty. That last one is worth a same-day call — it usually means a valve is sending brine into the service line.
Under about ten years old with a valve or controller fault, repair almost always makes sense. Past fifteen years with fouled resin and a failing valve, replacement is usually the better spend — and we’ll tell you which situation you’re in rather than defaulting to a sale.
Keep the salt tank at least a third full, break up any crust twice a year, change pre-filters on schedule, and have hardness tested annually. That’s most of it — and an annual visit from us covers all of it.
