Reverse osmosis pushes water through a membrane fine enough to reject dissolved solids that carbon filters and softeners leave behind — chlorine by-products, sodium, nitrates, lead, fluoride and the mineral load that gives tap water its flat taste.
It’s a point-of-use system, almost always under the kitchen sink, feeding a dedicated faucet and often the fridge’s water and ice lines. For most Edmonton households it replaces bottled water entirely, at a fraction of the cost per litre.
Right now a full RO system is included free with any whole-home water softener installation we complete in the Edmonton area.
